DOCUMENTING YOUR REAL UNPOSED LIFE

The days are long but the years are short. Isn’t that how it goes? You’ll look back and wonder where all the time went, how it seemed to pass so quickly, and how you filled all the spaces between then and now. Those spaces, these moments, that time – it all deserves to be documented just as it unfolds.

Real life isn’t perfect. It is messy and undone, lived between the noise and the silence, the grief and the joy, the losses and the celebrations, in both the trenches and on the peaks.

This is your open invitation to embrace those moments-turned-memories, to slow down, remember, and enjoy every little detail that makes your life worth living. Because at the end of it all, it won’t matter what you did with your days but rather with whom you spent them. Why should your memories reflect anything else?

This is your life, uninterrupted.

“As a mom, so often I’m the one taking random photos on my iPhone of cute moments of my kids but my heart wanted more. I wanted photos that documented us and our real life. No fluff, just a real life peak into our lives. I want my kids later in life when they are older to look through these and remember all the little things about their childhood and their mom and siblings. I’m forever grateful for Lauren coming in and not only doing that beautifully but also being the type of person that effortlessly fit in with our daily life and allowed us to just be ourselves. Life moves at such a fast pace and we so often forget that memories and photos will be all we have. I highly recommend being intentional about capturing these moments through having Lauren come in and do life with you. It truly is a gift. Thank you, Lauren , for all that you gave our family.”

Frequently Asked Questions

WHY SHOULD I BOOK AN EXPERIENCE?

An experience provides extended, uninterrupted time together to document your real life as it unfolds. While hour-long sessions will provide you with a gallery of beautiful portraits, this gives you the unique ability to tailor your experience so that it is a true reflection of you and your family without the constraints or pressures of time.

Think less refined and more grit. One of your kids has a meltdown? No problem. The house isn’t perfect? Even better. I hope these images will paint a picture of where you are right now so that someday, when you’re looking through them with your kids or maybe even your grandkids, you’ll remember all the nuances and the emotions which made that particular season of your life what it was.

Will you stay with us?

If you’re up for it, absolutely! I have traveled far and wide, and have stayed with numerous families around the globe. If you have a spare room and would like me to stay with your family, not only will it reduce travel costs but I find it only enhances the experience by giving us more time with each other to create more personal imagery.

Will it feel awkward?

Like anything else, the experience will be what you make of it but I am also there to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Some moments, I will just quietly observe while others I might engage with you or your kids depending on the scenario. It might feel a little awkward initially, but I’m confident that within an hour’s time, it will feel more like hanging out with a friend. We can chat over morning coffee or reminisce your memories over a glass of wine at the end of the day. That’s the beauty of these experiences. While we will plan activities that will inspire natural movement, you won’t be required to pose, and the time will give us the flexibility to go with the flow.

How do I proceed with booking?

To book an experience, first fill out the contact form at the bottom of the page with your information, availability, and a little bit about your family. I’ll follow up with you to start the conversation and confirm your desired dates. To reserve those desired date(s), I require a non-refundable 50% retainer and a signed contract. The remainder is due anytime up to 4 weeks prior to your experience. From there, I’ll send you a questionnaire so we can begin the planning process!

Can I print my photos?

Yes! I believe the art of a timeless photograph lies in its tangible printed form. Imagine years from now flipping through these photos with your grown kids or your grandkids. I have chosen specific printing labs that will not only retain the colors and tones of the photos, but that will provide a high-quality finish to weather the years to come. Whether you’d like to print individual photos, create a leatherbound album, or customize a gallery wall for your home, I will walk you through the process to make it as seamless and easy as possible.

WILL MY GALLERY EXPIRE?

You have access to your online gallery for 365 days. After that, it will expire. There is a $100 fee to re-open your gallery once it expires. Please make sure you save your photos onto an external hard drive or USB for future use.
